1864 $50 CONFEDERATE CIVIL WAR CURRENCY NOTE

Here is an original counterfeit Civil War era Confederate States of America $50 note, supposedly issued at Richmond, February 17, 1864.

The bill features central vignette of  Confederate President Jefferson Davis. Back is blue. Hand signed and numbered by Confederate officials for Register and for Treasurer.

In 1825 Congress authorized the construction of a fort on Oak Island.
